Pay Rtae: $53 - $56 per hour on W2

Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations, assisting Radiologists, and maintaining ultrasound equipment in a healthcare setting. This role involves capturing high-quality images, managing supplies, and providing technical assistance, while ensuring safety standards are adhered to for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:Ultrasound Procedures: Prepares and examines patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring adherence to departmental procedures.Equipment Operation: Operates and adjusts ultrasound equipment. Ensures equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and minor adjustments are made when necessary.Image Capture & Data Management: Captures images and uploads them to PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for review by physicians.Patient & Equipment Safety: Takes necessary precautions to prevent electrical hazards and other risks to both patients and personnel.Supply Management: Monitors and ensures adequate supplies for ultrasound procedures.Training & Mentorship: Assists in orienting and mentoring new ultrasound personnel.Administrative Support: May answer telephones, schedule exams, and coordinate transportation for patients as needed.Miscellaneous Duties: Performs additional tasks as required by the department.

Required Qualifications:Education: Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology, orHigh School/GED with successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography technical training program.

Certification:ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.

Experience:2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.Experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN), including the ability to assess all three trimesters, is highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.Strong knowledge of office and administrative practices.Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
