Apidel Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN Med Surg for a local contract nursing job in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Job Description & RequirementsPosition: RN - Med Surg Duration: 3 months of Contract with possible Extension Location: Grand Blanc, MI Job Description: • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. • This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a readiness to float between units as needed. • This role is based at a union facility, and as part of standard practice, nurses may be pulled to different units every 4 hours depending on staffing needs and patient volumes. • Units you may be assigned to include: o 2ST (2 South Tower) o CVC (Cardiovascular Care) o 4S, 4N, 2SA o Rehab o Observation (Obs) Patient Ratios by Unit: • 2ST & CVC: 1 nurse to 4–6 patients • Rehab: Typically 1:6, may go up to 1:7–8 during rare high-volume periods • All other units (4S, 4N, 2SA, Obs): Generally 1:5, may go up to 1:7–8 infrequently Required Skills & Experience: • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned. • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Required Education: • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Preferred Education: • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Required Certification & Licensure: • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. • BLS
