Job Summary:Nurse Manager Emergency Department assumes 24-hour responsibility for overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.Nurse Manager Emergency Department responsibilities include oversight and direction for the emergency department, and accountability for planning, directing, leading and evaluating nursing care within the department.Foster an environment of collaboration and respect with all other healthcare team members.Weekend and holiday coverage as needed is also a responsibility of the role as Nurse Manager.Performs related duties as required.Required Skills & Experience:Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience of management and/or supervisory in the Emergency Department.Required Education:Master's Degree in Nursing.Required Certifications & Licensure:Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.BLS, ACLS, & PALSPreferred Certifications & Licensure:TNCC
