Position: RN - Labor & Delivery Duration: 13+ Weeks Contract with Possible extension Location: Rochester, MI Shift Timing: 7pm-7:30am, Must work every other Weekend. Schedule Notes: 3 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D)—experience required 1 year Cerner experience Proficiency in labor, postpartum, and special care Candidate must be skilled in: • Labor care (monitoring mothers during labor and assisting with delivery) • Postpartum care (supporting recovery and health of mothers after delivery) • Special care (handling high-risk cases, complications, or newborn special care needs). Certifications Required: BLS, NRP • BLS (Basic Life Support): Certification in CPR and emergency life-saving techniques. • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Certification to provide life-saving care to newborns in critical situations. Job Summary: • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Skills & Experience: • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned. • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Education: • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Required Certification & Licensure: • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. • BLS.
