WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Bronx, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract A busy hospital in the Bronx is seeking an experienced ICU RN for day or night shifts. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Job Function: Night Shift. 7pm - 7:30am. Manage patients with External Ventricular Drains (EVD) and multiple medication drips, utilizing Hemosphere Flotrac monitoring. Provide care for trauma patients across varying levels of severity. Perform assessments using CAM, CPOT, and RASS tools. Deliver care for patients undergoing hypothermia treatment. Manage pleurevac chest tube drainage systems. Document patient information using Allscripts EMR. Adhere strictly to isolation precautions, including proper hand hygiene and “gel in, gel out” protocols. Operate and monitor Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) pumps. Job Requirements: BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school. RN license to practice in New York State or eligible by reciprocity. 3 years of ICU experience is a plus. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS. Proficient in managing patients with EVD, multiple medication drips, and Hemosphere Flotrac. Experienced in using CAM, CPOT, and RASS for patient assessments. Familiar with pleurevac chest tube drainage systems. Experienced with Allscripts EMR.
