Position Requirements- Active State Specific Registered Nurse (RN) License- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross- Minimum of two years of paid experience as an RN in a similar settingJob Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.- Circulate and assist in the Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, and Vascular Lab, as well as during hemodialysis catheter placements, atherectomy, and thrombectomy procedures.- Prepare patients for procedures by completing assessments, initiating IV access, administering medications, and educating patients and families.- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic status, EKGs, and patient responses throughout procedures, ensuring early recognition and intervention for complications.- Administer and titrate sedatives, anticoagulants, and other medications per provider orders.- Assist with specialized equipment such as Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), EKOS, Penumbra, Inari, CSI, Shockwave, temporary pacemakers, FFR, IVUS, Medrad Power Injectors, and Swan Ganz catheters.- Provide post-procedure care including sheath removal, hemostasis management, site care, and patient recovery monitoring.- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care.- Maintain sterile fields and ensure all supplies and instruments are prepared and functioning.- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic EMR using SBAR communication as needed.- Participate in call rotation, responding to emergency procedures such as STEMI or cardiogenic shock cases.- Educate patients and families regarding discharge instructions, medication regimens, and follow-up care.- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines to ensure patient safetyWhat is our culture?There are a few things we look for across all hires at ATC, regardless of role or team.First, we look for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and who will thrive in a culture that values teamwork, grit, and innovation.
