Position Overview
Amergis is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our school-based health team at Roosevelt High School. This is a locum tenens opportunity focused on delivering high-quality, culturally competent primary care to a diverse student population
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services with a focus on prevention and health promotion
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and develop treatment plans
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds, including refugees and low-income populations
- Collaborate with school staff and other healthcare professionals to support student wellness
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and equitable work environment
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No on-call or callback duties
Qualifications
- Active Oregon NP or PA license (required)
- Current BLS and DEA certifications
- Minimum 1 year of NP/PA experience
- EMR EPIC (experience strongly preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred – please indicate language proficiency upon submission

- Patient Volume: 8–14 patients/day

- Onboarding Time: 3–6 weeks
