Pay Rate: $ 65 - $67 per hour on W2
Job Summary: The MRI Technologist operates and/or prepares specialized MRI equipment to perform magnetic imaging procedures. The role requires technical expertise and sound clinical judgment to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols.Position patients and coils to ensure optimal image quality.Provide patient education before procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.Review MRI safety questionnaire prior to patient entry into the scan room.Label MRI images accurately per departmental SOP and ensure prompt transmission to PACS.Complete imaging study documentation in IDX (Radiology Information System).Maintain cleanliness of equipment and rooms at the beginning and end of shifts.Scan and upload patient-related documents as needed.Ensure availability of necessary supplies and accessories in the MRI suite.Assist physicians directly during procedures when required.Schedule and manage exams within IDX as needed.Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.Perform clerical tasks in the absence of support staff.Ensure strict adherence to MRI safety standards to prevent ferromagnetic hazards.Adhere to infection control policies and protocols.Attend in-service training and maintain required licensure and certifications.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience in MRI imaging.
Education Requirements: Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Licenses & Certifications:NY State License in Diagnostic RadiologyA.R.R.T. (MRI registry)AHA BLS Certification
