Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, alternating weekends and holidays required / Training Schedule: 2 weeks of training, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes EPIC training)

Pay rate: $ 60 - $63 per hour on W2

Job Summary: The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI procedures in accordance with accepted protocols and safety standards. This role ensures high-quality imaging, accurate documentation, and patient care within a level 1 trauma center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct MRI procedures ensuring image quality and patient safety.
  • Screen patients prior to the procedure for MRI safety compliance.
  • Confirm patient identity using two identifiers at every contact point.
  • Clearly explain MRI process to patients, answering any questions.
  • Safely operate and adjust MRI equipment, including GE systems.
  • Position patients accurately and comfortably for optimal imaging results.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the MRI suite.
  • Monitor and assist patients during scans, ensuring well-being.
  • Perform equipment calibration and report any malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate imaging and patient records via EMR (e.g., EPIC).
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Manage imaging supply inventory and restocking needs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care or level 1 trauma center.
  • Experience with GE MRI equipment preferred.

Education & Licensure:

  • Required Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Licensure:
    • Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by NYSDOH
    • Advanced-Level Certification from ARRT or ARMRIT
  • Preferred: BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
