Equiliem is seeking a LPN / LVN for a local contract job in Wayland, New York.Job Description & Requirements* Specialty: LPN / LVN* Discipline: LPN / LVN* Start Date: 09/22/2025* Duration: 13 weeks* 40 hours per week* Shift: 8 hours, evenings* Employment Type: Local ContractShift:3-11 M/T/W 7-3 Sat/Sun pass days thurs/frSummary of Need:As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will care for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome and Cerebral palsy. You would be involved in the treatment of people with developmental disabilities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).Job duties include, but are not limited to:* Administer medications and injections.* Perform tube feedings.* Hang IVs* Collect blood samples, if certified for venipuncture.* Provide colostomy care.* Observe patients and report changes in their condition.* Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.* Obtain specimens for analysis and perform other medical procedures as ordered by a physician.* Prepare and apply simple dressings.* Bathe and feed; and care for people and their homes by performing such tasks as making beds, changing linen, lifting and moving people and caring for their personal effects.Qualifications:* Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.* At least 1-year current experience working in long-term care or hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the developmentally disabled patients.* Highly motivated, independent thinker and self-starter.* Enthusiastic team player.* Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.* Able to manage multiple projects.
