Prime Staffing is seeking a local contract CT Technologist for a local contract job in New York, New York.Job Description & Requirements* Specialty: CT Technologist* Discipline: Allied Health Professional* Duration: 13 weeks* 40 hours per week* Shift: 10 hours, days* Employment Type: Local Contract***FLEX SCHEDULING***- -4-10 hour shifts or 3-12hour shifts a week -Job Responsibilities:* Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and all faculty and staff.* Perform CT studies and general radiological procedures:* Review imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided. Review all questionable orders with the radiologist and, at the radiologist's discretion, the referring physician.* Position patient and select appropriate options to ensure best-case imaging.* Observe patient while in the CT area for change in status and make appropriate intervention or contact primary care givers for instruction.* Judge diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation.* Offer detailed explanation of diagnostic procedures to patients and answer questions as appropriate.* Operate and maintain equipment on a daily basis, maintaining logbooks with equipment performance data: schedule PM, perform QA, maintain records required for and participate in inspections.* Perform clerical responsibilities associated with acquisition, processing, and archiving of patient records.* High school graduate or equivalency.* A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, including operating PETCT equipment.* NYS License, ARRT/CT certified.* Current BLS required.About Prime StaffingAt Prime Staffing, we understand the importance of finding the perfect fit for both our clients and candidates.
