Job Summary:

The CT Technologist will perform computed tomography imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients within the Radiology Diagnostic Department. This role requires a highly skilled professional with relevant CT experience and the ability to operate CT equipment efficiently and safely. The technologist will work in a dynamic hospital environment, rotating through weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients correctly for CT imaging.
• Follow all safety and radiation protocols to minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment as needed.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
• Participate in continuous education and training as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience.
• Proficient with relevant CT equipment and imaging techniques.
• Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) license as a Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or Radiation Therapist.
• Post-primary certification in computed tomography issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts including rotating weekends and holidays.

Additional Information:

• This position requires physical presence on-site at Elmhurst Hospital Center.
• ARRT certification is mandatory.
• Candidates must be able to attend in-person interviews.
