Position Overview

The Loader Operator will be responsible for keeping the bins full for concrete production and maintain loaders and conveyors.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Operate front-end loader to transport materials to and from storage and processing areas.
• Operate front-end loader to feed conveyors.
• Inspect equipment prior to operation for any safety or maintenance issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on the loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Create and maintain inclines and ramps to excavated materials.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Requirements

• Must be 18 years in age or older.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit; stand, walk, climb; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to balance and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
