Description Ecosouth Florida seeks a dedicated individual for the role of Loader Operator in Fruitville, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely handling a loader similar to a Komatsu WA 200-8. This position requires the ability to efficiently load materials onto a tipper trailer or walking floor. Responsibilities • Follow all safety procedures while operating heavy equipment • Ensure equipment stays in clean working order and report any issues to the supervisor • Load Material in tipper trailers • Ensure the work area is safe and compliant at all times • Work as a team with other departments • Perform other duties as assigned. This position is out in the elements, the candidate must be willing to work outside. Qualifications • Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 30+ pounds • Must have reliable transportation to get to work • Knowledge of the proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards Must pass drug screen and background check Schedule: • 10-hour shift • Monday to Friday • Overtime • Weekends as needed Physical Requirements: • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions, and other business interactions. • Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg. • Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg. • Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time • Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements • Sitting: able to sit long periods while operating the machine Ecosouth Florida provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
