Loader Operator 2nd Shift - Martin Marietta : Job Details

DescriptionWhat to expect:Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Dozer and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. The dozer operator will perform daily pre and post inspection of equipment and working areas, and safely maintain work areas by ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways. Hours are 4 pm - 2 am including weekends and overtime as necessary.A typical day for a(n) Dozer Operator may include:Operating a dozer within the company guidelines and safety standardsParticipating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulationsConstructing haul roads, prepares drill bench, levels shot material after blasting, and constructs drainage as neededAiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as neededPerforming pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisorPerforming preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipmentMaintaining safe traffic flow throughout the siteOperating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as neededAiding in the training of co-workers as neededPerforming other duties as assigned by supervisorYou may be a good fit if you:Possess High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this positionHave experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plantsHave experience in operation and maintenance of a dozer (preferred)A member of the S&P 500 Index, Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials - including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt.
