Litigation Associate – Medical & Life Sciences Hybrid NY Metro Area

A top-tier law firm with a strong national footprint is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Medical & Life Sciences practice group. This is a hybrid opportunity open to candidates based in New York City, Long Island (Uniondale), or White Plains, NY

This role offers the chance to work on high-impact litigation matters involving general liability, premises liability, and product liability defense, particularly for clients in healthcare, senior living, and FDA-regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and defend depositions
• Draft complex motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
• Research legal, medical, and scientific issues to support litigation strategy
• Prepare client reports, case valuations, and expert witness coordination
• Represent clients in court appearances, oral arguments, and discovery conferences
• Participate in trial preparation, mediation, and ADR proceedings

About You:

• 2–10+ years of litigation experience in general/premises liability and/or product liability
• Licensed in New York (New Jersey admission is a plus)
• Strong deposition and courtroom experience
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel for in-person proceedings, including overnight
• Comfortable using Zoom, MS Teams, and other virtual platforms
• Highly organized, adaptable, and collaborative
• Military experience is welcomed

Compensation:

• Long Island / White Plains: $125,000–$175,000
• New York City: $130,000–$175,000
• Annual billable requirement: 1900 hours
