Independent Managing Director - Peregrine Search Solutions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters using tools such as Westlaw.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, legal correspondence, discovery requests, discovery responses and other legal documents.
- Participate in depositions, court conferences and hearings, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
- Review and interpret applicable laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including document production, interrogatories, and exhibit organization.
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and case file management.
- Maintain client communications, provide legal advice, and offer regular updates on case progress.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses.
- Attend client meetings and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
- Other duties, projects and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York; admission in New Jersey is a plus.
- 5–9+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence rules, and experience in both state and federal courts.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

In performing the duties here in the employee is exposed to the below work environment conditions:
- A fast-paced environment determined by projects to be completed.
- Variances of noise and temperature.
- Possible stress and mental fatigue due to the speed of the office tasks.
- Continual periods where the employee is expected to sit for a long period of time when necessary.
- This position is a hybrid position based out of our New York office, with 3 days required onsite inclusive of Mondays.
