We are seeking a solutions-oriented System Administrator to support a user base solving unique and challenging problems in support of national security. The ideal candidate thrives on technology and innovation, working within a small, multi-disciplinary software and analytics team. You will collaborate directly with users and technologists to ensure solutions, tools, and development meet mission needs, with opportunities for career growth in the DevSecOps profession.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor secure-side systems operations and implement solutions to improve platform functionality and performance.
  • Track, remediate, and report IAVM vulnerabilities; implement STIG guidance and support ATO sustainment efforts, including patching.
  • Collaborate with software and system engineers to apply automated testing, static code analysis, and documentation processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipeline, and infrastructure issues.
  • Integrate security mechanisms and best practices into development and operational pipelines.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, articulating technical concepts clearly.
  • Optimize system operations and platform performance while supporting cross-functional efforts to ensure reliability, security, and operational readiness.

Skills Required:

  • U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI clearance; willing to work onsite 80% or as mission needs dictate.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience maintaining automated system platforms for the intelligence community, geospatial applications, or big data analytics.
  • CI/CD development experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and/or Docker.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining open-source and custom applications, with hands-on Linux and database administration, plus Python scripting.
  • Capable of working effectively with geographically distributed teams and communicating clearly with customers and internal teams.

Additional Skills Desired:

  • CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
  • Strong Linux skills and familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures, including AWS, C2S, and OpenStack.
  • Experience supporting software in production environments, with knowledge of common industry software tools, DevSecOps practices, and concepts like data visualization, data management, data integration, user interfaces, and databases.
  • Adaptable, solution-focused mindset with the ability to work independently in fast-paced, dynamic environments while leveraging factory reach-back support.
  • Familiarity with military/intelligence operations or IC PED systems is a plus.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

The base pay for this position within California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and for all other states is:

$100,000.00 - $125,000.00
