Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Linux

Design, deploy, integrate and maintain Linux technologies to advance the mission as a SENIOR PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER with GDIT. HOW A SENIOR PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technology field. Experience may be substituted for education.

Required Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience supporting complex projects.

Required Technical Experience: VMWare management/ administration experience. Relevant experience can be substituted for education. Thorough experience preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu or a derivative. Candidate will be required to acquire DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment.

Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret

Required Skills and Abilities: Highly motivated, self-starter; ability to work alone (90% of work is individual); heavy research and development when necessary.

Location: Washington, District of Columbia; limited telework may be available

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $182,873 - $247,417. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.View information about benefits and our total rewards program.
