This position plays a vital role in delivering the high-quality culinary experience Tillie's is known for. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and shares a passion for food and hospitality. Primary Job Duties:
Champion the Camp Lucy culture by upholding company values and delivering exceptional service at all times. Work collaboratively to foster a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing kitchen team environment. Prepare and cook menu items according to Tillie's recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and portion specifications. Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout service. Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment and tools. Cook menu items using a range of techniques including grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines; ensure proper food storage and labeling. Assist with daily prep, inventory checks, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas following each shift. Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for consistently high-quality food preparation.
- Culinary education or certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
