The Dominion Country Club is seeking energetic and responsible Summer Lifeguards to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our members and guests at our premier aquatic facility. As a lifeguard, you will be a vital part of maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all pool users during the summer season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor pool area to prevent accidents and ensure safety of all swimmers and guests
• Enforce pool rules and regulations in a courteous and professional manner
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized pool environment, including cleaning deck areas and safety equipment
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting guests with questions or concerns
• Conduct daily safety checks of pool equipment and surroundings
• Educate guests about pool safety rules and best practices
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly

Qualifications:

• Current certification in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (certifications must be valid through the season)
• Prior lifeguarding experience preferred but not required; training provided if necessary
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
• Must be at least 17 years old (or as required by state/local regulations)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to swim 300 yards continuously
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
