Licensed Practical Nurse - Family Medicine Center - The University of Vermont Health Network : Job Details

Primary: 8:30am-5:00pm; Secondary: 8:15am-4:45pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:The Family Medicine Center Licensed Practical Nurse has responsibilities that include intake, processing of patients, phlebotomy and EKGs, simple patient/family treatment as directed by the professional staff.QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Skills Required:1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.2. Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.3. Two (2) years previous medical office experience or primary care experience preferred.4. 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred.5. Ability to function as an integral part of a team.6. Excellent telephone skills7. Must be detail oriented and organized.8. Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
