Licensed Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant, Sleep Lab - Exeter Hospital : Job Details

Provide support to the practice in the functional areas of clerical, clinical and business under the direct supervision of a Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician.Requirements

• Licensed Nursing Assistant NH State (if a LNA)
• Certified or Registered MA (if a MA)
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience as LNA or MA preferred
• CPR certified within 90 days of hire

Major Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties such as assisting provider in examinations; procedures and obtaining vital signs.
• Cleans exam rooms as needed
• Follow-up with patient regarding home care.
• May schedule diagnostic testing; follow up with patients; as ordered by the physician.
• Performs administrative duties including answering telephone inquiries; scheduling; organizing patient charts; filing; faxing; pulling and copying patient records.
• Orders and stocks exam rooms with appropriate medical supplies.
• Calls in prescriptions as directed by provider.
• Assist with obtaining and maintaining CPAP downloads and database.
• Assist with pre-authorizations.
• Other duties as assigned.
