Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Clear View Mental Health Counseling : Job Details

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides psychotherapy and similar mental health counseling services to clients as appropriate. Prepares progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge plans in a timely manner.
• Can conduct initial intake assessment and 53 minute follow up visits, using evidence-based psychotherapy practice
• Collects data about clients through interview, assessment, case history, and/or observational techniques; Evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to clients' rights.
• Ability to provide culturally competent care to meet the needs of a diverse client base including but not limited to: first-time therapy seekers, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant and first-generation Americans etc.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum Requirements:

• Licensed to practice in New York State (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults and adolescents
• Access to a private, professional space appropriate for conducting HIPAA-compliant telemedicine video and phone sessions (requires Zoom account)
• Have or are able to obtain an individual NPI number and CAQH account
• Maintain individual Malpractice insurance
• Strong understanding of digital EHR platforms

Compensation: $40 - $60 per session
