A Long Island-based nonprofit organization is seeking a licensed professional (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) to join their Residential Treatment Program in Suffolk County as their new Licensed Clinician. In this role, the Licensed Clinician will be responsible for working with adults navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges in a supportive, team-based environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm (on-site only)
- Setting: Residential Substance Use Treatment Program
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling
- Develop and manage person-centered treatment plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on care coordination and case reviews
- Manage crisis intervention as needed
- Support discharge planning and external referrals
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR system (new system launch this winter)
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Substance Use Treatment
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active NYS licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a Lead and/or Supervisory role
- CASAC certification
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health needs in a residential or structured setting
- Familiarity with OASAS regulations
