Licensed Civil Engineer - City of Grand Prairie Texas : Job Details

The purpose of this position is to manage projects for public improvements from private development. This is accomplished by reviewing civil engineering plans for public infrastructure ensuring all design criteria, specifications, and requirements are met. This position coordinates with developers, contractors, and consultants and requires knowledge of water, wastewater, and storm drain design. Basic functions described below are intended to demonstrate key responsibilities but are not all inclusive and are subject to change. The purpose of this position is to perform engineering, design, and construction of public and private City projects to ensure accurate and timely completion. This is accomplished by ensuring all specifications and requirements have been met; reviewing plans and specifications; and coordinating activities between the contractor, other City departments, and other agencies.
