- The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) demonstrates and promotes 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for individuals served and direct and indirect supports.
- The BCBA will meet and engage parents of children who are experiencing potential developmental delays in their homes.
- The BCBA will identify and utilize screening measures to identify delays, lead to possible intervention plans, and recommend diagnostic testing as needed.
- The BCBA will conduct functional assessments.
- The BCBA will analyze available data to help determine where, when, and why problem behaviors occur.
- The BCBA will provide brief treatment and linkage to ongoing services.
- The BCBA will supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), BCBAs, and BCaBAs as assigned.
- The BCBA ensures respect for each person's and his/her family's life choices and individuality, facilitating quality outcomes for the people served and the community.
- The BCBA will provide training to the behavior clinician team, Direct Support Professionals, and other agency staff on the principles and implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- The BCBA will promote team work across all disciplines.
- The BCBA will collaborate closely with our Psychiatrists who serve the I/DD clients.
In this position, the BCBA will also have the following major responsibilities:- Inspires and promotes customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Obtain, review and analyze behavior data regularly and make recommendations based on data.
- Work to reduce stigma
Qualifications:- Effective communicate
- Possess excellent relationship building skills, as well as, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team including leadership teams.
- Possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently
- Ability to work independently
- Computer literacy
- Must maintain current license/certification/training
- Possess a valid driver's license, work eligibility status and have an excellent driving record
- Familiarity with OPWDD and OMH systems and eligibility requirements
- 3-5 years of experience conducting comprehensive functional assessments required
Education:- BCBA certification and LBA licensure are required.
