LIBRARY CIRCULATION SERVICES TECHNICIAN
Duties: Library Circulation Services Technician is the entry-level position of library support. Under the supervision of the Circulation Services Supervisor, employee performs a variety of support tasks. The Circulation Services Technician helps to provide public access to library materials by ensuring that all library materials are readily available in an organized and accurate order. This involves providing clerical duties pertaining to assisting patrons, interacting with the public, working the front desk, answering the telephone, checking patrons materials in and out of the library, shelving the library materials, and providing good customer service.
Minimum Training and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to physically operate a variety of automated office machines including phones, copier, laptop computers, PCs, and other electronic devices. Must be physically able to lift or exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are more than sedentary work; this position involves walking, standing, and stooping for brief periods of time.
Hours: Part-time position; 20 hours per week (days and times will vary, some Saturdays and evenings required)
