The Lee County Library System is seeking an enthusiastic, community-minded individual to join our team as a Youth Services/Young Adult Library Associate at the Dunbar-Jupiter Hammon Library.
In this vital role, you will plan and lead creative, engaging programs both inside the library and at outreach locations for young adults, children, and their families. About the Dunbar-Jupiter Hammon Library
Opened in April 1974, the library is named in honor of Jupiter Hammon, the first published African American author, and Paul Laurence Dunbar, the first widely acclaimed African American poet in the United States. Deeply rooted in its namesake community, the Dunbar-Jupiter Hammon Library partners closely with local organizations to meet the unique needs of its patrons. At Dunbar, teamwork is at the heart of everything we do as we work together to make a meaningful impact.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork Schedule: This position requires 80 hours bi-weekly, with varying hours and days, including evenings, Saturdays, and some Sundays.
Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: All County employees are required to work before, during, or after an emergency as needed. This may include temporarily being assigned to work and performing duties outside of the normal scope of their position, location, and work schedule to fit the needs of the County and its citizens.

Retirees of the Investment Plan are eligible for renewed membership in the Investment Plan only. FRS reemployment rules apply for both.
