Librarian - Edinburg Independent School District : Job Details

To serve as an educational leader that supervises and manages the school library media center. Promote the integration of curriculum and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and using information to solve problems. Serve as a facilitator of knowledge to ensure that the library/media center is involved in the instructional programs of the school. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/ Certification: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university Valid Texas librarian or learning resources specialist certificate or endorsement Master of library Science preferred or Masters plus Librarian endorsement Special Knowledge/ Skills: Knowledge of library skills, automation system, inventory and library standards and procedures Knowledge of technology hardware, software, and applications skills.
