Description Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Position Summary: To Assemble Mechanical Switches under direct supervision by the team leader. Salary Range: $19.81 - $24.76 per hour Job Function:
  • Responsible for maintenance and care of tools and equipment used.
  • To perform soldering of small components.
  • To mount reeds and terminals.
  • Installation of connectors into switch bodies.
  • To perform cycles testing.
  • To perform critical measurements for the mechanical part of the switch(i.e. the connector pin height body slot).
  • Mount magnet into holders.
  • Prepare can cover of switches.
  • Work on final assembly, assembly body, plate and cover of the mechanical switch.
  • Responsible to keep work area neat and clean.
  • Perform bar code clock on, clock off job worked on.
  • To stop the process if a problem is observed and inform the lead person/technician.
  • Visually inspect and check all work.
  • To work in accordance with all company procedures.
  • Any other job related activity as assigned by the lead person.
  • Control floor stock items (i.e. lint free paper, finger cots, etc.)

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write and orally communicate proficiently in English.
  • At least 1 year experience in mechanical switch assembly.
  • Basic Electrical Engineering background.
  • Use of a microscope.
  • To use a soldering iron.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, screwdriver, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
  • Experience in using mechanical measuring tools, i.e. caliper and surface gage.
  • General soldering training.
  • CP's related to the assembly of switches.
  • Mechanical switch assembly instructions.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
