Legal Operations Supervisor - Regional Law Firm - Onsite in Minneapolis, MN

THE RIGHT STAFF is proud to partner with a highly respected Minneapolis-based law firm in their search for a Legal Operations Supervisor. This pivotal role oversees a team of Legal Assistants and operational support staff, ensuring smooth workflow, high-quality output, and a collaborative, service-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of legal support functions, and the ability to manage both people and processes in a fast-paced setting.
Essential Job Duties:
• Lead, mentor, and develop Legal Assistants and operational support personnel to ensure consistent, high-quality work
• Analyze workflow, resource allocation, and productivity to recommend and implement best practices
• Partner with Practice Group Leadership to align work assignments, maximize efficiency, and ensure seamless client service
• Manage scheduling, task prioritization, process execution, and performance reviews
• Mediate personnel issues and foster a collaborative, solutions-focused work environment
• Drive operational projects, process improvements, and legal matter administration initiatives
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training for Legal Assistants and support staff
• Train incoming attorneys on firm processes, billing procedures, and working with Legal Assistants
• Maintain knowledge of firm policies and ensure consistent application across teams
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years of management and leadership experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire teams to achieve excellence
• Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and administrative processes
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with iManage and online intake systems preferred
Position Benefits, Pay, and Schedule:
• Direct-hire opportunity with a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, 401(k), disability, life insurance, paid time off, and voluntary benefits
• On-site role in Minneapolis, MN
• Pay range: $95,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience level
• Full-time position, core business hours (8 am to 5 pm) with occasional overtime as needed
