Evette is seeking a highly driven, results-oriented and detailed Legal Contracts Administrator to lead our Compliance Department, reporting to the VP of Human Resources.

Job Summary:

This role will lead the company's legal and regulatory functions through a strong paralegal lens. This critical role will oversee the full lifecycle of all contracts—including employee, client, contractor, service and vendor agreements—while managing the onboarding and offboarding of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVMs), credentialing, compliance auditing, and cross-functional project management. The Director will ensure that all operational and legal processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with state and federal regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Contract Management (Paralegal-Focused)

• Draft, review, and manage a variety of contracts, including DVM employee and independent contractor agreements, service provider contracts, and vendor agreements.

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for contract terms, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Track contract expirations, renewals, and compliance triggers using a contract management system.

• Coordinate contract execution, document control, and legal file management.

• Liaise with outside counsel for complex contract negotiations or legal matters.

DVM Onboarding & Offboarding Oversight

• Lead and optimize the DVM onboarding/offboarding process, ensuring proper documentation, credentialing, insurance verification, and contract compliance.

• Ensure all onboarding tasks are completed in accordance with legal and licensing requirements across multiple states.

• Manage digital file maintenance and checklist tracking for compliance documentation.

Credentialing & Regulatory Compliance

• Oversee all aspects of DVM credentialing, including license verification, DEA registration, insurance, and state-specific requirements.

• Maintain a credentialing database and ensure all records are up to date and audit ready.

• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements affecting veterinary staffing and implement updates to internal processes accordingly.

Auditing, Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct regular audits of contracts, credentialing files, and compliance documents to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.

• Generate reports and insights based on data analysis related to DVM lifecycle, contract KPIs, and compliance health.

• Recommend and implement process improvements based on audit findings.

Project & Team Management

• Lead or support cross-functional projects focused on legal compliance, contract optimization, credentialing automation, and DVM experience improvement.

• Manage timelines, communications, and deliverables related to compliance initiatives.

• Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Sales to ensure alignment of legal, staffing, and service delivery goals.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong understanding of employment law, independent contractor agreements, and regulatory frameworks in healthcare or veterinary services.

• Experience managing credentialing and onboarding processes.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CLM tools, and credentialing databases.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal certificate or degree required

• 5-7 years of experience in contract management, compliance, or legal operations, ideally in healthcare or staffing.

• Prior experience in veterinary staffing or human healthcare staffing industry.

• Familiarity with Paycom and Symplr, CTM, Excel, database software.

• Experience working in a high-growth or startup environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.

Work Environment:

• Flexible work hours but may require travel depending on the location of the veterinary practices being consulted.

• In office and hybrid schedule, per the guidelines of the company

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times.

• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
