Job Description:

Binghamton University, consistently ranked among the top public universities in the nation, seeks two lecturers to be part of its growing Department of Social Work, which includes both undergraduate (BSW) and graduate (MSW) degree programs. The MSW program is celebrating 20 years of educating social work leaders, in addition to the launch of a new online option for part-time, full-time, and advanced standing MSW students.

The successful candidates will join a dynamic, creative team of cutting-edge educators and scholars, who are committed to preparing students for multi-level social work practice grounded in social justice principles. The ideal candidate will be able to:

* Teach across programs (BSW, MSW) and options (face-to-face, online) in generalist and advanced generalist social work, maintaining a teaching load of three courses per semester.

* Serve as a field liaison to 16-21 BSW and MSW students in fieldwork, including coordinating and convening field liaison visits with all students as assigned at least once per semester.

* Foster inclusive, equitable environments for teaching and learning that incorporate a social justice focus.

Requirements:

* MSW degree from a CSWE-Accredited institution

* Two years of post-MSW, full-time social work experience

Preferred:

* Experience developing and/or delivering online courses across the social work curriculum.

* Experience supervising and/or mentoring student internships, practicums, and/or field experiences.

* Demonstrated ability to teach social work practice courses, including (but not limited to) clinical licensure or clinical practice experience that involved the regular use of engagement, assessment, intervention, and/or evaluation skills with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and/or communities.

* Knowledge of or experience with incorporating a social justice framework into teaching.
