POSITION OVERVIEWJob SummaryThe Leaves Supervisor oversees a team of Leave Specialists responsible for the end-to-end leave ofabsence process, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and enhancing theemployee experience. This role serves as the primary liaison between the organization, the company'sleave of absence vendor, campus leaders, and employees.
Roles and Responsibilities* Supervises and supports a team of Leave Specialists, providing guidance, training, andperformance management.* Oversees the relationship with the Leave of Absence vendor, ensuring service quality and issueresolution.* Serves as the central point of contact for all leave-related matters, coordinating with the LeavesAdministrator, HR, and business leaders.* Manages the full lifecycle of employee leave requests-from intake through return-to-work-including documentation, communication, and system updates.* Partners with appropriate stakeholder groups in administering short- and long-term disabilityclaims, paid parental leaves, and workers' compensation for work-related injuries, ensuring timelycoordination, compliance, and employee support throughout each process.* Interprets and analyzes leave data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.* Ensures the maintenance of accurate records, conduct audits, and generate reports to supportcompliance and operational efficiency.* Evaluates and streamlines leave processes to improve efficiency and the employee experience.* Acts as a subject matter expert on accommodations and return-to-work processes, collaboratingwith HR and legal as needed.* Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, andcompany-specific policies.* Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor DegreeExperience: 5-8 years
Licenses and CertificationsCLMS, Certified Compliance Professional (CCP), PHR, SPHR, or SHRM preferred
Physical RequirementsSitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently duringworking hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and writtencommunication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and allbusiness associates outside of the health campus.
