As a Lead eSoftware Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be a core technical contributor responsible for developing critical technology solutions across multiple areas within various business functions to support the firm's objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute innovative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technical issues, thinking beyond routine approaches to solve problems.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring issues to improve operational stability.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials for system integration.
  • Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies.
  • Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
    • Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
    • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
    • Advanced knowledge of system architecture and design.
    • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages, especially Java.
    • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in technology.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within large teams to achieve organizational goals.
    • Passion for fostering an innovative culture.
    • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
    • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
    • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems.
    Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
    • Experience with FIX, Market Data, Analytics, OMS, and equities trading in global markets.
    • Experience with KDB/Q, Python, shell scripting is advantageous.
