The team is ever expanding and as a result are looking for the best in class when it comes to frontend engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesBe a key figure throughout the SDLC by designing, building and delivering resilient software systems (50% of time will be hands on coding)Technical leadership and management of a team of engineers (50% of time will be people management)Work with the wider business to deliver solutions at paceChampion new technologies across the groupParticipate in Scrum ceremoniesThe Ideal CandidateExtensive experience with frontend technologies (React, JavaScript, Typescript, Redux, HTML5 and CSS3)Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress and PlaywrightExposure to CI/CD, Github, Docker, Jenkins and Grafana (a nice to have)Experience managing a team of software developers from a people management point of view but also technical leadership/directionHas demonstrated picking up new technologies at speed in the past – although it's a frontend role there may still be times where you'd have to pick up some backend workBenefitsSalary up to 110k15% pensionAnnual bonus up to 30%Share scheme30 days annual leave + all bank holidaysGenerous parental leave policyOptional benefits to suit your lifestyleFree parking on office daysThis is a hybrid role, with the team working 2 days per week in the office in Chester and 3 days at home per week so please only apply if you are happy with this and are in a commutable distance.InterQuest Group is acting as an employment agency for this vacancy.
