The purpose of our asset management business is to help our clients invest for the future — whether it's for retirement, to grow and preserve inter-generational wealth, or to benefit the organizations that make our world smarter, healthier and more sustainable.Lazard Asset Management (LAM) is looking for a Lead software engineer to join our Operations Technology team. This individual will be working on the systems that support Trade Operations. This role will be responsible for conducting data analysis, scripting, and updates for real-time and batch processing, installing & configuring software tools, including hotfixes and upgrades. This role requires a highly motivated, organized and experienced developer with pride of ownership reflected through clean design, code quality and a disciplined software development approach.We'll trust you to:

• Lead the development team to develop and support Operations technology and Lazard Data Warehouse.
• Migrate existing middle-office applications to the latest software infrastructure.
• Re-architect existing and develop new pipelines for outbound and inbound partner/vendor data consumption.
• Develop monitoring and validation services to support trade critical Start of Day analytics.
• Develop data synchronization pipelines to enable flows to Snowflake warehousing.
• Support existing software with quick troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Be part of an empowered team following agile methodologies.

You'll need to have:

• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational database technologies.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and service-oriented design.
• Well-versed with back-end application development using programming languages like Java 11.
• Work effectively both as a contributing team member and independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative problem solving with the ability to present multiple solutions and potential side effects.
• 10+ years development experience. Fast paced programming mentality with quick solution turnaround.
• Expertise with SQL & relational databases (Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Proficient with object-oriented development and Java programming language.
• Proficient in developing backend components using Java.
• Experience with AngularJS and NodeJS for front-end development.
• Proficient with MS Power platforms such as Power BI, PowerApps, and Power BI Embedded.
• Experience with API creation using Spring Boot and RESTful using GraphQL services.
• Broad knowledge of the systems and business processes in use for the Middle office and Back-office functions within Investment Banks or Asset Management industry.

Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant's years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role.
