Lead Software Engineer (AWS, Java) - NICE Systems, Inc. in : Job Details

At NICE, we challenge our limits and set high standards to achieve excellence. We are seeking a passionate Lead Software Engineer to join our team in Sandy, UT (Hybrid). This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the NICE CXone software platform, including all tiers of the technology stack.

Responsibilities include:

• Enhancing and improving software as part of an agile team
• Designing and presenting project ideas
• Coding, testing, and creating automation for quality assurance
• Delivering high-quality, sustainable, and maintainable code
• Managing multiple projects efficiently
• Collaborating with system analysts and product management
• Mentoring junior staff and leading or functioning as a technical/team lead

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Angular
• Experience with AWS microservices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of unit testing, design patterns, and object-oriented design
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Security expertise, experience with MongoDB or DynamoDB
• Knowledge of REST/Web Sockets/GRPC, Jira, automation/testing tools
• Experience with agile processes, telecommunications, call centers, CI/CD environments
