PURPOSE: To safely optimize and maintain the performance of the injection molding equipment and the product being produced.

Authority: Is hereby given to the employee by the molding manager to carry out the responsibilities and any other duties as directed.

Berry Global believes in the safety of all employees, It is important that each employee follows all safety rules. Pre-shift exercise/stretching activity to be performed before you can enter production area unless written doctor's release can be provided to Human Resources.

Responsibilities

* Know and follow all safety rules. Identify and resolve safety issues.

* Perform pre-shift exercise / stretching activity to be performed before you can enter production area unless written doctor's release can be provided to Human Resources.

* Verify daily/weekly PMs.

* Know and follow the GMP'S, SQF, & HACCP.

* Run reports and enter information in Web EFF.

* Assist other employees as needed to optimize the performance of the Molding dept.

* Accurately document press settings, downtime and process changes with required forms.

* Trouble shoot & optimize equipment for maximum efficiency.

* Proactively monitor part quality & take appropriate actions to maintain specified limits.

* Direct and oversee the Process Technicians on the shift

* Check production schedule and coordinate with Process Technicians

* Color changes

* Label changes

* WO changes

* Mold changes

* No op

* Float across all zones and help provide backup

* Cover breaks

* Cover vacations

* Cover absences

* Monitor downtime

* Monitor scrap

* Verify Last shot was collected on mold changes

* Verify sample parts collected when blocking parts

* Collect Downtime sheets from Process Technicians and verify and compile data before passing off to AGL or GL

* Verify PMs are completed correctly

* 1-2 hours before end of shift

* Record all PMs completed in the log

* Check cycle times against standard

* Verify regrind systems are operational

* Assist in troubleshooting process issues

* Assist in training of Process Technicians (New and existing)

* Work with incoming Lead Process Technician on process issues and schedule before ending shift

* Attend the end of shift 105 meetings

Qualifications

* Must have a good work & attendance record

* Strong mechanical ability

* Must be able to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary

* High School diploma or GED equivalent

* Strong verbal & written communication skills

* Good math & computer skills

* Good safety record (No write ups in the last 6 months)

* Must provide own hand tools

* Strong problem solving skills

* Minimum of 5 years of Injection Molding experience

* Ability to climb up and down ladders

* Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop and stretch regularly

* Ability to work around grease, oil and solvents without adverse reaction

* Must be able to differentiate color
