We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Piping Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Aveva E3D/PDMS, AutoCAD, and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) design software. This role will lead piping design efforts on complex industrial and energy projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee piping design teams in the development of 3D models and 2D deliverables for large-scale industrial or energy projects.
  • Manage the design and layout of piping systems in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Develop and review piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings, support details, and material take-offs.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure effective project execution.
  • Perform clash detection and resolve interface issues using SmartPlant 3D and/or Aveva E3D.
  • Ensure design quality and compliance through thorough checking and verification of drawings and models.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices and software usage.
  • Assist in scheduling, planning, and estimating design activities and resources for projects.
  • Support field activities such as site surveys, walkdowns, and construction support, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of piping design experience in industrial sectors such as oil & gas, chemical, power, or petrochemical.
  • Proficient in Aveva E3D or PDMS, AutoCAD, and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D).
  • Strong understanding of piping codes, standards (ASME, API), and engineering practices.
  • Experience with piping materials, valves, supports, and insulation specifications.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage design teams to meet project deadlines.
