Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC) Plugin Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom plugins that enhance the OFSC platform.
This role requires deep expertise in modern web technologies, OFSC configuration, and plugin developmentāboth hosted within OFSC and externally.
The ideal candidate will lead development efforts, ensuring secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of custom OFSC plugins using the Plugin Framework and external APIs.
- Configure OFSC components such as screen layouts, user types, and properties to support plugin functionality.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth 2.0), manage CORS policies, and follow secure coding practices.
- Integrate plugins with OFSC APIs and external systems or services.
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility and performance across desktop and mobile (iOS, Android via OFSC mobile app).
- Develop unit and integration tests, support UAT, and troubleshoot complex plugin issues.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Promote best practices in plugin development, version control (Git), and deployment processes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership in plugin development.
- Stay updated on OFSC platform changes, API enhancements, and modern web development trends.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional web development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC) plugin development.
- Proven experience with both OFSC-hosted plugins and externally hosted web applications integrated with OFSC.
- Strong understanding of web security concepts including OAuth 2.0, CORS, and secure API consumption.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Node.js, NPM, and build tools like Grunt, Webpack, or Gulp.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
- Experience with OFSC configuration for plugin deployment (e.g., Button and Screen configuration).
- Familiarity with mobile-first development and responsive design principles.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with OFSC Core Manage configuration beyond plugin development.
- Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for backend integrations.
- Experience with server-side development beyond Node.js (e.g., Java, Python).
- Familiarity with native mobile development concepts (iOS/Android).
- Oracle Field Service Cloud certifications.
