Lead Network Engineer - J. Morrissey : Job Details

Title: Senior Network Engineer Location: Windsor, CT (Hybrid) Duration: 12-Month (W2 Contract) We're hiring a Senior Network Engineer for a 12-month W2 contract for a client of ours in Windsor. This role requires deep experience in enterprise networking, cloud connectivity, and infrastructure automation. This contract offers a hybrid schedule and has the potential for extensions beyond a year. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and documentation of complex network solutions across data centers and cloud environments.
• Integrate corporate networks with cloud platforms using VPN, Direct Connect, BGP, and related technologies.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to manage network configurations and policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-impact network incidents; lead root cause analysis and improvement efforts.
• Drive proactive network assessments and improvements with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to align infrastructure with business needs.

Requirements:

• Strong background in enterprise networking and cloud integration (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with automation and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Git, etc.).
• Familiarity with network security platforms and access control solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE, firewalls, etc.).
• Understanding of routing protocols (especially BGP), IPv6, and hybrid network environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, AWS Advanced Networking) preferred.
