The opportunity

The Lead Negotiator – Associate Director role offers the chance to be a key deal closer for EY's largest and most complex deals, leveraging your business acumen, leadership, and emotional intelligence to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes with clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations as the primary negotiator with the client's negotiation lead, taking the engagement from “sold” to “closed”.
  • Collaborate with EY sales on relationship mapping and tiering to align teams with client leaders.
  • Lead the deal documentation process and secure agreement on deal terms.
  • Advise pursuit teams on various commercial models for large deals.
  • Implement negotiation strategies effectively.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of different solutions or approaches.

    • Skills And Attributes For Success

    To qualify, you must have:

  • 10+ years of negotiation and contract drafting experience in the technology services industry.
  • Approximately 7+ years of “first chair” negotiation experience in sales, legal, or procurement in technology services.
  • Experience in large, complex global organizations with proven negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing high-performance teams.

    • Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Ability to advise on securing client commitment.
  • Experience leading deal documentation and agreement processes.
  • Capability to counsel pursuit teams on commercial models.

    Our compensation ranges in the US are $160,000 to $308,000, with variations for specific regions.
