MCHC is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to support our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care for our communities.About the Role:As a Lead Medical Assistant, you'll support our clinical teams by delivering direct patient care, mentoring Medical Assistants, coordinating day-to-day workflows, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor Medical Assistants and help onboard new team members
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols (CLIA, and VFC requirements)
- Manage inventory, supplies, and assist with scheduling
- Serve as a superuser for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and support training efforts
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Welcome and room patients, collect vital signs and offer pertinent health information
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice
- Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
- Perform routine tests (such as vision and hearing screenings) and assist with lab specimens
- Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations
- Provide clear patient education and support as directed by the provider
- Participate in team huddles, trainings, and continuous quality improvement efforts

- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- One or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Salary Description $22.05 to $30.45 an hour, DOE
