ABOUT THE POSITION:

As the Head mechanic, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of production machinery, ensuring optimal efficiency, and minimizing downtime. This leadership role involves managing all mechanics, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and collaborating with production teams to support the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage mechanics, providing guidance and support.

  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of cosmetic production machinery and equipment.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize machine reliability.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Coordinate with production teams to address and resolve equipment-related challenges.

  • Manage the inventory of spare parts and coordinate procurement as needed.

  • Provide training to maintenance staff on new equipment, technologies, and safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance.

  • Participate in project planning and implementation of new machinery.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs and service history.

  • Generate reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the maintenance department.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Machine related experience.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a head mechanic or in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of cosmetic production machinery and related technologies.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and systems.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
