Lead Infant, Preschool, Toddler, & Assistant Teachers @ Kidz Lodge - Capital District YMCA : Job Details

We are looking for dynamic individuals to lead early learning programs at our Kidz Lodge Early Learning Center. These early learning childcare positions support the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening our community. These roles help to create a positive learning environment, nurture relationships, and support the potential of all children at site as part of the overall daycare experience.

Current Full Time Openings:

* Lead Infant Teacher (1)

* Lead Toddler Teacher (1)

* Lead Preschool Teacher (1)

* Assistant Teacher (2)

Early Learning childcare programs rooms are categorized into:

* INFANT (6 weeks - 18 months)

* TODDLER (18 - 36 months)

* PRESCHOOL (3 - 4 years old)

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL DAYCARE POSITIONS:

* Day 1 of Employment: Completed Physical and TB Test (within the last year)

* Day 30 of Employment: Completed CPR, AED, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention

* Day 90 of Employment: Completed New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, NYS OCFS Health & Safety and ALICE (Active Shooter).

* Day 180 of Employment: Completed 15 hours of childcare related training (then 15 hours annually)

LEAD TEACHER - $17.00 PER HOUR - MANAGES THE ASSIGNED CLASSROOM

REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S): College degree/Transcripts, OR Child Development Credential, AND Resume (w/ALL supervisory & childcare experience)

* AAS in Child Development, Elementary Ed., Physical Ed., Recreation or related field with no prior experience OR Child Development Associate Credential WITH one (1) year prior experience OR 9 college credits in Child Development, Elementary Ed., Physical Ed., Recreation or related field WITH two (2) years direct experience working with children under the age of 13.

* Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.

* Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.

* Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.

ASSISTANT TEACHER - $15.00 PER HOUR - LEADS CLASSROOM ACTIVITES & SUPPORTS TEACHER

REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S): College degree/Transcripts, OR HS Diploma/GED AND Resume (w/ALL childcare experience)

* Must be 18 years of age.

* High School Diploma/GED required.

* Two (2) years direct experience with children under age 13 required.
