Position Summary

• Become a trusted advisor to Senior and Executive Leaders on categories that fall under Professional Services, including but not limited to Human Resources, Media, Legal, Finance, Treasury, Marketing, Consulting, and others.
• Participate in meetings and reviews as a representative from Indirect Procurement, embedded within various departments.
• Develop knowledge of categories, suppliers, trends, pricing models, and related processes.
• Create and deliver annual category plans aligned with business objectives.
• Learn organizational processes, procedures, and Zoetis brands quickly.
• Engage in all Indirect Procurement meetings, initiatives, and process improvements.
• Lead or drive special projects to improve department functions.

Position Responsibilities

• Align global category strategies with business plans and budgets, supporting business outcomes with data and insights.
• Utilize market knowledge to develop supplier solutions that meet regional and functional needs, including reviewing legal documents with legal teams.
• Formulate global category strategies considering regional requirements and market ecosystems.
• Understand negotiation levers and potential savings in professional services categories.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Manage supplier selection and rationalization to meet business needs at optimal costs.
• Coordinate with category partners to monitor supplier performance and manage relationships.
• Track KPIs and SLAs, and build mutually beneficial supplier partnerships.

Advance Category Management Best Practices

• Continuously develop category and procurement knowledge through training and research.
• Refine strategies to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Promote external research, benchmarking, and industry involvement.
• Encourage innovation internally and with suppliers.

Organizational Relationships

• Develop relationships with various internal functions and external suppliers.
• Participate in team meetings and learn procurement technologies such as Ariba, SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, and Office Suite.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in Professional Services procurement; 10+ years preferred.
• Pharma experience is a plus but not required.

Technical Skills Requirements

• Category Management experience, especially in Professional Services.
• Developing annual category plans and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Managing supplier reviews and performance metrics.
• Market research, benchmarking, and industry knowledge, including emerging technologies like AI.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Physical Position Requirements

• Hybrid work environment, with 2-3 days/week on-site in Parsippany, NJ.
• Travel up to 5-10% domestically/internationally.
• Work with global teams across time zones.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay Range: $126,000 - $181,000 (NJ, CA, Remote NY, WA); $111,000 - $160,000 (Colorado). Includes short-term and long-term incentives, plus comprehensive benefits.
