The Lead System Architect will have extensive experience in designing, installing, integrating, testing, and accepting new HPC systems, as well as maintaining and upgrading existing systems. The role involves end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of HPC systems to meet specific computational needs. Periodic travel and after-hours work may be required for emergencies and scheduled on-call duties.

• Minimum of five years' experience in Linux systems administration
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related field, with 2+ years of systems engineering experience, or 5 years' experience in HPC architecture
• Hands-on experience with HPC architecture, storage, file systems, InfiniBand, security, and compute architecture
• Knowledge of HPC hardware components, including processors, memory, network fabrics, and interconnects
• US Citizenship required; Public Trust clearance can be obtained after hire

• Experience with HPC software stacks like compilers, job schedulers, and libraries
• Knowledge of storage management and optimization, RAID configurations
• Experience with system administration and cluster management tools (e.g., LSF, Slurm, PBS)
• Experience with distributed file systems such as Lustre, Ceph, or GPFS
