LEAD GRANT WRITER Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Lead Grant Writer. This position is full-time, within the Administration Department, working in a remote capacity and on site as needed.   • Proactively research local, state, national, and international funding opportunities that align with JRCHC's mission and strategic priorities.
  • Analyze data and community needs to build compelling cases for support.
  • Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of JRCHC's mission, programs, services, and impact.
  • Guide the use of data collection and evaluation metrics to strengthen proposals.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of major grant applications, including narrative writing, supporting in budget development, and procuring attachments.
  • Write, edit, and ensure the quality and competitiveness of all grant proposals and reports.
  • Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership staff to gather accurate program information, budgets, and data.
  • Manage relationships and written correspondence with partners, elected officials, and stakeholders for letters of support and collaborative proposals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of deadlines and reporting schedules; ensure timely submissions.
  • Oversee record-keeping of submitted, pending, awarded, and declined grants.
  • Guide other grant team members, providing editing support and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements and organizational policies, including federal portals and registrations (EHB, SAM, Grants.gov, etc.).
  • Support timely and accurate grant reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate on Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) renewals and compliance-related grant submissions.
  • Assist in impact reporting and sharing success stories with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 3-5 years' experience with non-profit grant writing
  • Exceptional writing, editing and research skills
  • Strong project management skills with keen attention to detail and deadlines
  • Will be required to submit a writing sample
Rate: $65,000-$70,000 salaried. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
